It’s the last day of the month so it’s time for another installation of Foodie Penpals!
Lindsay over at The Lean Green Bean organizes Foodie Penpals every month. Here’s how it works:
Participants are assigned a pen pal and send a fun, food package by the 15th of the month, with contents that add up to no more than $15. There’s a link to details at the end of the post…if you’re interested, get in touch with Lindsay by July 4th.
This was my sixth month participating…and it’s always so fun to see what arrives in the mail! You can see my past write-ups here.
I was paired up with Krista–you can see the goodies I sent her by checking out her blog MissCellaneous. She lives in Alaska, just had 12″ of hair cut off & donated it to Locks of Love, and she has an adorable dog!
On to the exciting package that showed up at my doorstep!
Michelle from Blogitness sent me a box full of goodies! Michelle is a fellow Sweat Pink Ambassador and has great workout/fitness information on her blog. (This reminds me–I am behind the ball in getting my Sweat Pink Ambassador info online!)
When Michelle emailed me asking about likes/dislikes I told her I am on the hunt for new, tasty, healthy protein bars.
She delivered and sent me a lot of fun treats including some of her favorite snacks and beverages.
I’d never tried coconut water so appreciated the opportunity to try it–mango flavor. Light and refreshing. My Quality Assurance Guy (QAG) swiped the cookie/chocolate combo snack. Also new to me was macadamia nut butter – I’m hanging onto that one to throw in my bag for my next trip. The Bella Bar was a delicious bar – all natural, raw ingredients. I got to try the Cinnamon Nut Raw Bar. I love all things cinnamon. The Crystal Light and Lipton Green Tea & Honey packets will really come in handy with Summer hydration.
If you’re interested in becoming a Foodie Pen Pal, check out the site and sign up by July 4th.
Yummmmm coconut water!! I’ve never heard of those bella bars!!
I just tried the Lipton tea and honey. It’s very refreshing. How was the macadamia butter?
I haven’t tried the nut butter yet – saving it to take on the road. I imagine it may be somewhat rich.
I made homemade hazelnut, cinnamon, flax seed butter. Delicious!
Mmm, i’m planning on making a hazelnut almond butter this weekend!
yummy package, I am certainly eyeing that popcorn and fruit strips. My favorite!
You got some yummy treats! I haven’t tried coconut water yet either- the mango flavor sounds really good. I think I’d like that much better than plain.
ohhh i love how macadamia nut butter – it has such a nice creamy texture in the mouth 🙂 Not to mention a rich flavor!!
Never seen a Bella bar!
Great treats! Fun to try all the new bars and compare.
I need to sign up for this, thanks for the reminder! That looks like a fab parcel; I really need to try macadamia butter 🙂
