Sunday Search

I haven’t written a Sunday Search post in a while – it’s fun to re-visit.

Search terms that have brought people to the blog lately:
Katie Middleton birthday, Kate Middleton bag, Kate Middleton blog
Oh Kate…some days I wish I was a Duchess!  P.S. Kate’s birthday is Jan 9 – last year I made a recipe inspired by the big day.

Labrador drooling

KI am not, in the least, surprised by that one!

Gym Pet Peeves Group Class
Last year the WSJ had a fun article about top Gym Pet Peeves – this time of year, when there are a lot of newbies at the gym, it’s fun to re-read.  I was reminded of it on Friday when I was the only person in a workout room at the gym.  Plenty of machines to choose from, but the next person who came in used the machine right-next-to-me.  I always try to leave a “courtesy” machine between me and fellow exercisers!

A reminder that there’s still time to sign up for New Year, New Gear…I’d love if you joined!

Food Motivated

The post title doesn’t refer to me.  Rather, it refers to Kostas.

kHe literally jumps up and down when it’s time to eat.

I’m part of the BzzAgent program and was contacted to participate in a Eukanuba campaign.

Score–that’s the food that Kostas devours everyday and we go through a bag pretty quickly.  His favorite: Eukanuba Naturally Wild North Atlantic Salmon and Rice.

IMG_1854And Kostas’ latest “trick” is to eat breakfast in bed.  He’d rather not expend energy standing up and eating.

Kostas used to eat a strore-brand dog food but it just didn’t do the trick.  I switched him to Eukanuba because it has a high protein content, agrees with Kostas’ system, gives him the energy he needs for our long walks, and has 3D DentaDefense which keeps your dog in top condition from tooth to tail. 85% of dogs have serious tartar build up by age 3 (source: Banfield Pet Hospital report)–I’d rather let the food and the occasional Nyla bone do the teeth cleaning rather than the added cost of a teeth cleaning at the vet!

One thing I learned about Eukanuba during this opportunity is their commitment to Canine Companions for Independence. CCI is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.

Consider heading over to Facebook to “Like” Eukanuba.  For every new Like, they donate $1 to CCI.  And while you’re on their page, you can see pictures of cute puppies.  It’s a win-win!

kSpeaking of cute puppies…

What’s a food that motivates your pet?  For Kostas it’s any food–dog food, apples, peanut butter, etc.

*As part of the BzzAgent campaign, I received a $30 voucher to apply towards a bag of Euakanuba dog food. Kostas received a tennis ball and delicious food.
