Happy Friday. Here’s the first round-up of the new year.
Thank you to those of you who have already signed up to participate in New Year, New Gear. Interested in a fitness gear exchange? More information here and you just need to send me an email.
I’ve heard from some of you that you have too much going on this month but would be interested next month – I imagine a February repeat.
You know you live in a college town when the snowmen have arms made from vodka bottles and buttons made from beer bottles
If you live in a cold climate or area always cold (I deal with both!), you should know about Cuddle Duds. My mom and I found this top while out shopping last weekend and I’ve basically lived in this for days (and it has visited the washing machine).
That’s your stay warm public service announcement for the week.
Haley shared a free, printable blog planner on her site yesterday. It looks like a fun project and a great way to get organized. I have a blogging notebook and sticky notes all over the place with ideas. This would help me pull it all together.
And finally, Tucker has been under the weather this week. Fever, infection, etc. He’s on the mend. I finally figured out the trick to get him to take his antibiotics–peanut butter. I learned the hard way that he wasn’t going to take them the old-fashioned way – I nearly lost a few fingers. Why is it so entertaining to watch a dog eat pb?
What’s on tap for your weekend? Did you have to go back to work this week? Any good warm-weather gear to share?
I love cuddle-duds! I feel like such a grandma wearing them but they are so soft and warm.
🙂 I think they’ve become much more mainstream in the last few years!
Hahaha that is the funniest snowman ever.
Hmm warm weather gear… I’m just loving GIANT sweaters and leggings. hahaha
Perfect combo!
I also love cuddle-duds! My mom sent me some my first winter in New England and I adore them.
My go-to warm weather gear consists of chunky sweaters, boots, and my parka-like (but not quite a parka) coat.
Good boots are a must! My winter parka rule is that it has to cover my back-side. I hate having a cold bum and legs!
Hahaha what a snowman! Oh, college towns 🙂 Gotta love ’em. Those warm weather cuddle-duds sound RIGHT up my alley, I tell ya. Thanks for passing along, Nicole!
I see all sorts of great stuff like that in Madison!
I’m wearing mine today! I was just telling my boss that today I was not going to freeze at my desk.
It’s all about the layering!
One of my coworkers swears by cuddle duds but I’ve yet to get any. I need to because I am ALWAYS freezing!!
they are pretty much my winter in Wisconsin staple!
I have never even heard of cuddle duds!
They’re great – lots of styles, varieties, etc. Target even has their own version – Warm Essentials.
I have to go back to school on Monday
As for cold weather gear, I like under armor 🙂
UA is great! Enjoy your last day of the break.
Ha that snowman is so funny! Pretty sure if it snowed where I went to college, that would be ‘the norm’…
Sometimes I think I could have a series of posts “You know you live in a college town when…” or “Overheard on campus…”
Yes me too! Though I could include grad school stories as well, I’d have to wait a couple years before I posted anything to make sure they wouldn’t accidentally read it…small community!
Zelda loves PB too! Maybe it’s a prerequisite in order for a dog to be a true pet. 😉 Happy Friday!
Shedding, snuggling, eating PB – that’s it!
loving that printable. I think I might use it to keep track of my CinnaList!! Hope Tucker feels better soon and yes…PB is the height of entertainment around here with the pups. Tooo funny!! 😉
Thanks – he’s doing much better!
I’ll have to give Cuddle Duds a try since I’m always cold. Exercising more would probably help with that too. 🙂 Love that snowman! Happy 2013!
Happy New Year! This is the best time of year to buy the Cuddle Duds – they are usually significantly marked down! Lately I’ve seen them at Marshall’s and TJ Maxx.
Oh, and I love watching dogs eat peanut butter too. They turn the whole thing into an adventure. I hope Tucker feels better soon so he can eat lots more.
My mom loves cuddlduds! I’m feeling a bit warmer back in Colorado! But we’re hoping to go ice skating on a lake this weekend sooo we’ll see if that lasts!
Hope you had fun iceskating! Some of the local ponds are open for skating–I’m waiting for the big lake to freeze so I can go snowshoeing across it!
Kostas: Thanks for helping take such good care of Tucker this week. It’s very rare that Tucker is not operating at 100% but last week was one of those weeks. He’s back in rare form — thanks to you and you-know-who.
Secondly, I think your days on the new fleece sheets are numbered as in, like, zero days remaining.
Love,
The QAG
What a nice surprise!
