{This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to @NattieRuns who won the giveaway.}
Safety First is one of my mottos.
Enter my love for all things Road ID. Road ID makes personal identification gear for all ages – so last year was a Road ID Christmas for my family – my niece and nephew each got a Wrist ID Slim and my dad got a Wrist ID Sport.
I have two Road IDs – the Slim and the Elite. I wear my Road ID when I workout, walk the dogs, drive, travel, etc.
The best part about Road ID is that it provides you with an extra level of personal safety. If something happens to you and you can’t speak for yourself, first responders can get critical information from your Road ID.
I particularly like the interactive aspect of the product – my Road ID has a unique code and a phone number on it. A first responder can either go online or call the emergency responder phone number, enter my code, and get my name, health/medication information, and emergency contacts. You have a lot of options – for example, if you’ll be traveling overseas, update your information to provide where you’ll be, who you’re traveling with, etc. You can also upload a photo so first responders can make sure it’s you!
The website has a number of testimonials of people who were out biking, running, etc and had an accident – but their Road ID sped up the care process and saved their life. And I also need to mention the great customer service – Road ID really takes their work of helping people stay safe very seriously and anyone I’ve emailed/spoken with has been a true professional.
The great folks at Road ID were nice enough to send me a $15 gift card to give to a reader. Here’s your chance to add a little safety to your life! Or find a great gift in time for the holidays.
Giveaway is open through 7am (Central) – Saturday, December 15th. Road ID ships worldwide so this is open to everyone.
Here’s how to enter (lots of opportunities!) – pick and choose what you’d like to do and please leave a separate comment for each. If you already do anything from #s 2-7, just let me know in your comment.

I have not been compensated for this post – I have purchased Road ID products with my own dinero. Road ID if you’re listening, please start making products for pets! Kostas’ safety bandana is getting a little worn out!
Such a great giveaway! After seeing Craig Alexander, I’ve decided to get a Road ID. (He’s one of their team members/ambassadors.) Also, I think Road ID makes tags for pets, but I’m not sure about safety bandanas.

I admittedly don’t ever run with identification. Usually I take my phone with me, but don’t even always do that. While I’ve tried to be better about it, winning a Road ID would be awesome for me and would make me feel much safer when I’m out running alone.

I would like Road ID because I run on a lot of unlit country roads and it would help me to feel safer if something were to happen.

So many methods, love it!
I actually bought my sister a road ID last year or the year before but oddly enough never purchased one for myself. With all the running and biking I plan to do this year, it’s definitely a good idea!

Thanks for the share. I may have given too many options 🙂 It was a mini-marathon to get through them all!
and liked on facebook. Phew, I’m exhausted 🙂

I’d like a road id so that when I start my half marathon training in Jan, I have a bracelet with ID rather than trying to run with my drivers license (and potentially lose it) 🙂
