Friday Round-Up

During the week I’ve been happy to read that East Coast bloggers I follow/communicate with and colleagues are OK after Hurricane Sandy.  But as the week has gone on and the damage and destruction has come to light – and the problems associated with the aftermath arise – I just wanted to take a moment to say I’m certainly keeping folks in my thoughts and prayers.  There are some people who were really lucky and maybe had to deal with no power for one night, and then there are those who lost everything.

Switching gears–the winner (using random.org) of The Enchanted Truth book giveaway is Krissy – please email me your mailing information by Sunday evening.  Thanks to everyone who entered.

And finally a little humor.
Parks ‘N Rec has become a favorite comedy to watch on Hulu.  During the first season, I didn’t really “get” it. But I gave it a chance, got caught up, and it just keeps getting better!
These scenes with Tom really made me laugh.  The back story is that Tom was texting and driving and hit a fire hydrant.  The judge sentences Tom to a week with no technology.

Have a a nice weekend.

I have to put it out there…thoughts on NYC Marathon?  Good idea, bad idea?

What’s your favorite comedy sitcom?

  1. love Parks and Rec….missing it right now…I should catch up on Hulu…that is a great idea! With everything I am hearing about the NYC Marathon sounds like the right thing for them to do is cancel it. I will be interested to see what happens.

  2. My thoughts are with those affected by Sandy, it’s horrendous and I’m glad you’re ok. I’m not sure what I think about the marathon; I know lots of people have put in so much effort but the fact so may are suffering so close by – but maybe it’t a kind f Blitz spirit/the show must go on type attitude…?

  3. Well now the Marathon is officially canceled, as I believe it should of been all along. Fav sit com? Big Bang Theory and Modern Family. I do like Parks and Rec,..I just haven’t had the chance to get into it. Love the name of your blog!!!

  4. My goodness, I just *love* Parks n’ Rec. It took until the second season for it to get onto its feet, for sure. Once they ditched the pit storyline, I think the show took off. I loved that episode with Tom’s tweeting! “Just caught four green lights in a row. #blessed.”

  5. Haha I haven’t really gotten into Parks and Rec but one of my co-workers is obsessed with it! 🙂

I feel bad for all the people that were training for the NYC marathon, but it just seems like too much craziness going on there right now!
