I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I was doing this in my living room last week:
But you know what? It was fun, it was a good way to unwind after work, and it was a real workout! My abs/core were so sore the next day–good sore.
I’ve seen the Hemalayaa: Beautiful Belly on Netflix but always discounted it thinking that it wouldn’t be much of a workout. It popped up on Hulu and I finally decided to give it a try.
It’s about a 45 minute workout including a warm-up and cool-down and a variety of cardio and core work. For plank enthusiasts, there are planks!
It was fun to let loose a bit and dance like no one’s watching. Well, this guy was watching and tried to climb in my lap when I was on the floor for the floor work:
Have you ever tried one of Hemalayaa’s workouts? She has a number of Bollywood-inspried DVDs available via Netflix, Hulu, and Acacia.
And Hulu is a great source for at-home workout options. Here are a few pages to search: Get Fit, Stay Fit; Yoga for Everyone; Dance and be Fit. There are two down-sides with Hulu, though–short commercials (I supposed the up-side is that you can take a H2O break) and the workouts aren’t always available – they expire but then tend to show up again a couple of weeks later.

LOVE him! Milo does the same thing when I work out. I never thought of Hulu for workouts, but sounds like a great idea!
That sounds like so much fun, and way better than crunches. Bollywood is addicting! And if you can get sore from it, all the better!
That looks like fun! I like Bollywood style dancing, even if I know I am totally not a good dancer. I had no clue that Hulu had workout videos, so thanks for sharing that info. I’ll check it out by using your suggested searches soon.
