Fall Colors

I hope you had a nice weekend – they go by too fast, don’t they?

Weather in Wisconsin was beautiful and Saturday was a great day for a drive.

I went to visit my favorite apple orchard (last call for Honey Crisps!)

And enjoyed the sunshine and the beautiful colors

Fall is in full swing at the orchard

I also enjoyed dinner with my family – dad’s homemade pasta sauce (full of garden-fresh veggies) and mom’s homemade meatballs. I made it a BYOSS dinner – bring your own spaghetti squash.

And I got to scratch this guy behind his ears

Getting home, this guy was all up in my space because he could smell the other pups

I went apple picking this weekend, too!!! (In Northern Virginia) It made it TOTALLY feel like Fall!!

I hope you got some tasty apples. The crop in WI is low this year because of an early Spring frost. Majority of orchards haven’t been able to offer pick-your-own – they’ve had to safeguard and salvage the apples that they could for sale. (I know, I know way too much about the apple crop!)

Thanks – good idea. I just ate ss for lunch and added chicken and sauteed spinach. A splash of balsamic and a lemon pepper seasoning. A good dose of veggies mid-day!
