Sudden Cardiac Arrest accounts for an estimated 325,000 deaths per year and claims a life every two minutes. Today I wanted to share information about a company called One Beat CPR. This is Florida’s premier American Heart Association (AHA) and American Safety Health Institute (ASHI) CPR Training Center based in South Florida. They offer “approachable, enjoyable and affordable lifesaving education classes that are perfect for families, schools and businesses. Founded by Lon Rosen, a twelve-year veteran with the Key Biscayne Fire Department, our team consists of firefighters, paramedics and police officers who deliver real life experience to make CPR training accessible, fun and informative.” (Source)
The folks at One Beat CPR asked if I’d be willing to share one of their CPR Tip of the Week videos with blog readers…I’ve already shared the Hands Only CPR App and feel very strongly about being able to pitch in and help someone in the event I’m in a situation where I need to give CPR. We can all use a CPR refresher and this video is great for keeping the basics in mind–the steps of calling 911 or sending someone to call, compressions, etc.

Thanks One Beat CRP for the video tips–keep ’em coming!
